CONVERSATION WITH PURPOSE

Make room for one another.

A place for shared reading, patient conversation and projects that turn good intentions into something useful. Gatherings are announced only when a host, date and time are confirmed.

What a gathering can look like

A short welcome, a brief reading from a linked source, a question everyone can approach, and time for discussion. Join to listen or take part; nobody needs to disclose personal experiences or pray aloud. Ask before recording or sharing anyone’s words elsewhere.

First conversation: how do we compete well?

Bring one ordinary situation: losing a match, dealing with a teammate’s mistake, or leading a group under pressure. Read Patience when the game gets heated, then consider which response would respect the other person and still address the problem. You can begin in the forum while a hosted session is being arranged.

Reading circle: one question at a time

Choose a short Church source, agree on a manageable section, and post a question in advance. A good opening is the Catechism’s account of the virtues, followed by examples of prudence, courage, justice and self-control in everyday life. Keep the source linked so the discussion has something shared to return to.

A project invitation

Build a peaceful place of welcome in a game, help a new player learn, or suggest a practical service project outside gaming. Start small: name the task, who it helps, what you can contribute and a realistic finish point. Share the work with permission, without turning somebody else’s need into publicity.

Hosting and dates

There is no recurring date announced yet. Confirmed gatherings will appear in Fleet Dispatches and Discord with a timezone, host, topic and joining instructions. To offer a topic or help host, start a thread in Questions & discussion. This page can be edited as soon as those details are agreed.
